To enumerate the importance of research in insightful thinking, I will give an account of how the world-renowned neurosurgeon Dr Benjamin Carson (sir) gained insight on how to successfully achieve a highly complicated and risky surgery (separation of The Binder Siamese twins joined at the back of the head) This surgery made him popular as he was the first ever neurosurgeon to successfully carry out such an operation (in 1989). He gained this powerful insight long before this surgery as he explains below in his own words;

"In looking over the past attempts to separate them (Siamese twins, in which all have failed), it became clear to me that the major problem was exaguination (bleeding to death). After talking to cardio-vascular surgeons and reading up on some of the techniques they used such as hyperthermic arrest (where blood is pumped out, at which time they operate on the heart), I had one of those "Aha" experiences. The insight struck me that we might use such a technique combined with complex cranial facial surgery and vascular reconstruction to eliminate or greatly reduce the risk of exsaguination during the most delicate parts of the separation" (Think Big by Ben Carson & Cecil Murphey, pg.174).

Researching for insight is not only restricted to scientists, neurosurgeons or experts. Anybody of any category could gain powerful insight on anything. All it takes is gradual development.

INSIGHT IS THE FATHER OF ALL INNOVATIONS

Another important step after research is reflection. We need to reflect on the ideas and knowledge we have acquired. Its not how much knowledge we have alone that makes a difference, it is its application that really counts. This is why we need to think and rethink over our knowledge acquired. It helps us make proper analysis of situations to arrive at reasonable solutions. Reflection sparks up our intuitive ability and helps us think of better and easier ways of arriving at effective solutions. Evidently, most of us use Microsoft products including Windows operating systems (Win 95, 98 ,XP ,Vista etc.), even internet services like MSN. It is no doubt that the company which offers all these products and services (Microsoft Corporation) is owned and managed by the one time Worlds most richest man(now 2nd), William (Bill) Gates111. Bill rose to this high level of success by cultivating the attitude of insightful thinking. While he was young, he dropped out from Harvard University and worked with IBM, the leading computer giant then. Bill learnt about softwares. He then sat down to think and reflect. He concluded that one day, people will need computers to communicate globally and also do virtually anything with them. Young Bill believed he could make that dream come alive. He started taking steps and we can now see the result- The largest software giant in the world, Microsoft. Always remember that reflection sparks your imagination.

However, imagination alone makes no impact without commitment. It is like living in dreamland, away from the real world. Your imagination could be made valuable if you incorporate commitment. That is, by putting actions into our mapped out solutions. It is theory to arrive at a solution but it is practical to apply that solution. If you want to be a high flyer not a walker, you need to transform imagination into reality. We cant have a good soup without cooking up our blended pepper with the necessary ingredients.

When insight is developed, an individual gains an understanding of why and how something functions and malfunctions. Ill prefer to say that the person has learnt the anatomy, physiology and biochemistry of life or better still, the medicine of life! The medicine that will cure the worlds problems. Why not receive the task of being that doctor of life! That is what I mean by being a doctor in your field. That is the genuine PhD, not the one some boast of. Insight makes you say to yourself; "This is what I am and as an occupational person, I will do my work very well. It makes us realize that we are good in our respective disciplines and makes us think of making others lives better with what we do. Insight is a very powerful tool that makes us think big and give our best. That is what success is all about, not necessarily the wealth acquired or prestige gained.

Moreover, we must know that setting ourselves to limitations is like pulling down our pillars of success. We must realize that success is not just for a few or for a class of people. Anybody can be successful! Insight is not only for brainiacs or geniuses. Yes, you can be your own potential genius if you work towards it! Just know where youre going, your birthplace is not your permanent address. No matter where you come from, its your destination that counts. Always keep in mind that; if we observe, reflect and commit ourselves to giving our best, well rise to the top.

When we watch a film we usually concentrate on the face of an adult human character, but the general appearance can be easily noticed by the way it moves. Looking at a photo of yours or at your 6-year-old brother playing about the room will not help. There is nothing funny in real-life proportions. What you should do is exaggerate more or less in order to make your cartoon character amusing. A kid character will have a body about the same height as the head, while an adult character will look perfect with the body twice the height of the head.

Once you have created a set of animal and human cartoon characters (preferably on a graphic tablet with a stylus) and saved them in your computer, you may start preparing for a more difficult activity: creating 3D animations. There are several programs you can use to learn that. Six Ways to Defeat Photo-Phobia This Holiday Season

Do you cringe, or run for the corner, whenever someone steps into the room with a grin - and a camera? Are you the one who hides behind the time-and-place-recorder making other's holidays a stressful heck? Well, this year let's make a change in the way you feel about seeing yourself on film, shall we!

Photo-phobics have long wished that some thoughtful jeweler would create some clever camera-blinding earrings, but it's unlikely that they will, this year, so if you happen to be shutter-shy, here are a few tricks to help you meet those pesky blue flashes with great confidence this year.

First, remember that you are the only you who can represent you on film, (particularly to people who know you) so it's imperative that you realize that what makes you unique makes you beautiful. Put on a confident smile and remember it's not polite to point! (I'll explain later)

Now, I've been a photographer since as far back as I can recall...and I'm a pretty good shot too, so I can assure you there's no reason for you to be disturbed by all the camera flashes this year; just remember these simple things: Hair, Eyes, Lips, Teeth, Elbows and Toes.

A confidence builder: Before you attend the first Christmas party this year, grab your camera (I pray it's a digital) and snap a few shots of yourself awash in smiles, grins, and thoughtful expressions. Select the photos that reflect the beauty that you are - ones that don't reveal that you have any imagined flaws. Study the photos and memorize which side of your face intoxicates you, then do your very best to keep that side front and center when anyone in your party screams out "It's picture time!!!"

And now for the tricks:

1) Never wash-and-wear your hair in front of the camera. Try not to wash your hair the day of a party where photos will likely be taken. Let the natural oils in your hair keep frizz/fly-away/frazzled hair at bay. Your hair will be most manageable and can be adjusted fairly radically by simply wetting any portion that displeases you and drying it into the position you desire. ***If you must wash your hair, use a salt water spritz to manage your locks, it works better than any gel or spray on the market.

2) Grab a tube of that little girl's flavored lip gloss (Bonnie Bell?) from the cosmetics department and some waterproof mascara for the occasion. Waterproof mascara will prevent a party gone-too-long, or tearful goodbye scenes, from being recorded for all time's sake - making you out to be a raccoon in drag. And the girlie lip gloss will taste just yummy while it keeps your lips looking moist and kissably perfect.

3) Clean up those chompers. That's right, before you leave your humble abode, brush your teeth well with a dissolved mixture of salt, baking soda and warm water. This will cleanse your palate for the fine delectables you'll be feasting on later and give your teeth a whiter look that lasts!

4) Give yourself some room and never hide your elbows - they're too handy! Your elbows mark where the smallest part of your waistline should be, so use them to your advantage. Crook your arm out, or back, away from your body at the elbow as you strike your casual angle-pose for the camera. Your elbow will stop the critical viewer's eye in the foreground of your body, then they'll move up to your face, so they won't even notice if you've put on a couple of extra pounds since dinner.

5) Never point - your toes - at a camera! Put one foot slightly in front of the other and turn a few degrees away from any grinning-photo-snapper, making sure that the side of your face you've come to admire (from your home photo-shoot session) is turned toward the camera. This little trick takes pounds off instantly and gives the distinct impression that you have longer, more slender, legs than you might actually have!

And finally, if all else fails:

6) Never forget how much fun pets and children are around the holidays - use them appropriately. Seize every opportunity to pull a child or pet close to whichever side of your face you'd prefer not to have memorialized this year; this will prevent any accidental capturing of your not-so-perfect angle and build warm memories for all to enjoy. ***A little bag of Hershey's Chocolate Kisses in your pocket will keep both types of living distractions close at hand...and keep your spirits bright!
